Legal Notice

This website and the applications presented on it are published, on a personal basis, by Joffrey BEZIAT, acting as the data controller within the meaning of the GDPR.

The applications are distributed through Apple's App Store and/or Google Play, depending on the platform. Any payments and subscriptions are handled by Apple or Google; the publisher has no access to any payment or banking data.

Privacy

This policy describes the data processed by the website and by the publisher's applications, whether published on the App Store (iOS) or Google Play (Android). The publisher does not sell or rent any personal data. Some sections below apply only to applications that offer the relevant feature (advertising, subscription, cloud sync, location, health).

Data you enter in the applications

Your data is stored locally on your device. When an application offers cloud sync and you enable it, this data is synchronized through your private cloud account — iCloud (an Apple service) on iOS, or the private cloud service tied to your account on Android: it remains under your control and is never transmitted to the publisher or to any third-party server. The publisher has no access to it. The handling of this data is governed by the privacy policy of the relevant cloud provider (Apple or Google).

When an application allows you to share content with other people, the shared data travels through the provider's cloud infrastructure (Apple or Google) to the recipient's account; the publisher has no access to it.

When the application allows it, you can export or delete all of your data at any time from its settings.

Location

When an application offers the feature and you grant permission, your location is used on your device to centre the map, set a starting point, and follow your progress during an activity. Recorded tracks (routes, rides) are kept locally; the publisher has no access to them.

Some applications keep recording your track with the screen locked or the phone in a pocket, for the duration of the activity you started yourself and no longer. Recording stops when you end it, and the permission can be withdrawn at any time in the system settings.

To compute a route or look up the name of a place, the coordinates concerned (start, destination, waypoints) are sent to the following providers, which process them only for as long as it takes to answer the request:

  • BRouter (brouter.de, Germany) — cycling route calculation.
  • Nominatim (OpenStreetMap Foundation) — address and place-name lookup.
  • OpenStreetMap, CyclOSM and IGN (France) — map tiles.

These requests carry no account identifier, no device identifier and no advertising identifier: they are not tied to any individual. The publisher neither retains them nor has access to them. This processing is based on your consent, given through the permission you grant to the system.

Health and fitness data

When an application offers the feature and you switch the relevant option on, a completed activity may be saved to Apple Health (HealthKit) — for example as a workout, with its route. The application may also read the measurements recorded during that activity, such as heart rate, in order to display them and summarize the activity.

This data stays in the encrypted store managed by Apple on your device. It is never transmitted to the publisher or to any third-party server, is never used for advertising or marketing purposes, is neither sold nor shared, and serves no purpose other than displaying and recording your activity.

This access is optional, off by default, and can be withdrawn at any time from the application's settings or in Settings → Privacy & Security → Health. As health data, this processing is based on your explicit consent within the meaning of Article 9 of the GDPR.

Advertising

Some applications, in their free version, display ads provided by Google AdMob. For this purpose, Google's SDK may collect a device advertising identifier (IDFA on iOS, Advertising ID on Android), usage data, and diagnostic data in order to deliver and measure ads.

  • Consent: on first launch, a consent dialog (Google UMP, GDPR-compliant) lets you accept or decline tracking and personalized advertising. On iOS, Apple's App Tracking Transparency (ATT) request is also shown.
  • Refusal / withdrawal: if you decline, only non-personalized ads are shown. You can change this choice at any time:
    • iOS: Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.
    • Android: Settings → Google → Ads (reset or delete the advertising identifier).
  • Processing carried out by Google is governed by Google's Privacy Policy and Google's advertising practices.

Users of a Premium (subscription) version see no ads. Neither your location, nor your health data, nor your recorded tracks are ever used for advertising, and the applications that process them pass them to no ad network.

Subscriptions

Any subscriptions are processed by Apple (via StoreKit) or by Google (via Google Play Billing), depending on the platform. The publisher only receives aggregated, anonymous information (number of subscriptions) and no payment data. Management and renewal take place in your App Store or Google Play account settings.

Support form

Data submitted through the support form (name, email, message) is used solely to reply to you and is not shared with any third party. It is kept for as long as necessary to handle your request, then deleted.

Data retention

  • Application data: kept as long as the application is installed; deleted upon uninstallation or through the built-in deletion feature where available.
  • Location and activity tracks: kept on your device as long as the application is installed, or until you delete them. Coordinates sent to the routing and place-lookup services are not retained by the publisher.
  • Health data: kept by Apple Health, under your control; the publisher keeps no copy of it.
  • Support data: deleted after the request has been handled.
  • Advertising data: kept for the periods defined by Google.

Transfers outside the European Union

The third-party providers used (Google, Apple) may process some data outside the European Union, in particular in the United States. Such transfers are covered by the appropriate safeguards required by the GDPR (the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses and/or adequacy mechanisms), as described in the privacy policies of Apple and Google.

The routing and mapping services mentioned above (BRouter, OpenStreetMap / Nominatim, CyclOSM, IGN) are established in the European Union or in the United Kingdom, a country covered by an adequacy decision of the European Commission.

Your rights (GDPR)

In accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation, you have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict, object to, and port your data. Where processing is based on your consent — location, health data, personalized advertising — that consent can be withdrawn at any time in the system or application settings, without affecting processing already carried out. To exercise these rights, write to contact@joffreybeziat.com. You may also lodge a complaint with the CNIL (the French data protection authority).

Children

The applications are not intended for children under 13 and do not knowingly collect their data.

Cookies

This website uses a single technical cookie to remember your language choice. No advertising or tracking cookies are used.

This policy may be updated; the last-updated date is shown at the top of the page.
